An End of Summer Celebration

About Me

An End of Summer Celebration

Growing up, I adored the long, lazy days of summer. During my summer break from school, I could usually be found reading a book, sipping lemonade, playing catch, or hula-hooping. A couple of weeks before my summer break was due to end, I started dreading the thought of returning to school. Do you have kids who are sad about the prospect of going back to school? Consider taking your children’s minds off of school by treating the whole family at a favorite restaurant. While everyone is eating favorite foods, family members can reminisce about the amazing summers they’ve had. On this blog, you will discover the best types of restaurants to host an end of summer celebration at.

Breakfast Taco Ideas For Special Events

If you're planning any type of morning event, you're probably wondering what you should serve your guests. When deciding on a menu, go with food that keeps your attendees satisfied and ready to face the day, as well as makes their taste buds happy. One idea that will please guests of all ages is breakfast tacos.

Breakfast tacos are appropriate to serve at any type of morning event including corporate training and networking meetings, birthday and holiday parties, and bridal and baby showers. Depending on your event-planning budget and the size of your guest list, you can either make the tacos yourself or have them catered by your favorite local Mexican restaurant.

Here are some ideas for serving breakfast tacos at your next morning event:

Taco Bar

Taco bars are ideal for special events, as guests can mix and mingle while they create their own plates. To create the taco bar, start by setting out bowls, serving platters or warming trays of individual breakfast taco ingredients, and have attendees move down the line to make their perfect meal.

Some ingredient ideas include breakfast sausage, spicy chorizo, refried and black beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, shredded cheese, and a mix of both hard and soft taco shells. Traditional veggies and toppings to consider are diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, avocado, chopped cilantro, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.

As another option, provide larger flour tortillas and allow guests to make their own breakfast burritos. Set toaster ovens or griddles out on the tables so party-goers can heat their burritos up if desired.

Breakfast Taco Sampler

Creating a breakfast taco sampler is another fun and creative way of serving your guests in the morning. You can have the restaurant or catering company of your choice prepare a varied selection of both traditional and gourmet tacos that will both surprise and delight your attendees. Tailor the selections according to the type of event you're hosting, such as a super casual outdoor party, or an elegant ballroom gathering.

Some gourmet breakfast taco ingredients include breakfast sausage, grilled shrimp and scallops, prosciutto, a selection of cheeses, such as gouda and brie, and homemade pineapple or mango salsa. If you expect a lot of kids in the crowd, provide plenty of classic taco fillings and toppings as well to please young palates. Create a few different taco combinations and allow guests to pick and choose their favorites.

Complement the breakfast tacos with crispy hashbrowns, toast or bagels, muffins, and fresh fruit.
